We visited the garden of a Willowbog regular yesterday and took possession of 3 of her bonsai that she wanted us to sell on a sale or return basis on her behalf. They could all be categorised as a little on the large size for chuhin, all nice, mature bonsai and each in a good Walsall Ceramic pot.
A classic Acer buergeranum, Trident maple , not the usual fat trunked sort of tree but more of a ” proper ” deciduous tree image.

Next a less frequently seen Japanese species, Fagus crenata, Japanese white beech. Just needing more ramification to make a good bonsai.

The third tree is a nice heavy trunked Korean hornbeam, Carpinus coreana. A good compact example of this species that generally does very well in the UK.

Please contact the nursery if you would like further details.

the White beech is already on it’s way to a new home !
how much for the Korean hornbeam?
