A few posts ago I featured some nice cedar bonsai that we are selling that were part of Len Gilbert’s collection. This is another cedar that we sold a few years back.
This bonsai originally belonged to elder statesman of UK bonsai, Jim McCurrach. I believe that he lifted it from his garden. Marco Invernizzi, who taught here for nearly ten years, liked cedar as a bonsai subject and purchased this tree. This photo shows the tree after he had done some re-shaping over a couple of years.
In this picture we see some further refinement that Marco did just before I took the tree to Milan for him on one of my numerous visits. The Cd of favourite singer, Eric Bibb, gives a guide to the size of this bonsai.
