This coming weekend we are involved in the Gateshead Flower Show, something that we have done since we opened in the mid nineties. We look to make some sales but as it is quite local for us we see it as much as an opportunity to promote both bonsai in general and in particular the nursery. To that end we mount a display of good bonsai . A typical arrangement requires about 18 trees of differing sizes and to achieve that we prepare 20 plus examples.
Trees brought into the studio for work such as cleaning up and mossing of the top of growing mediums.

All finished this afternoon and gathered together near to the bottom gate ready to load the van in the morning. We set up tomorrow as it is in fact a 3 day show, starting early Friday morning. We need some reasonable weather to bring out the crowds !!
